Digital Fundraising Developer

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the agency’s current digital fundraising ideas for viability (e.g. selling BBBS-branded items), make additional
    recommendations, and develop new, alternative and sustainable sources of agency funding.
  • Develop plans for our first ever “Monthly Giving Campaign” in support of matches.
  • Complete an environmental scan and make recommendations for an e-commerce platform to scale-up our social
    enterprise (Nearly New Store), which does not have any online or digital sales at this time.
  • Investigate and create plans so that we can better leverage “Will Power Campaign” and “Giving Tuesday”
    opportunities in the digital space.
  • Research and provide recommendations on digital donor platforms, online auctions and other digital technologies
    to support our operational needs.
  • As plans are developed, share knowledge and train existing staff on the implementation and execution of the digital
    fundraising plans.
  • Participate in the agency’s Strategic Planning process to help ensure our organization’s viability and selfsustainability post-pandemic.

Qualifications:

  • Successful candidate will have at minimum a diploma or degree in a related field. Experience within a social service
    or non-profit setting would be considered an asset.
  •  Must be driven to succeed, creative, and possess a problem-solving/forward-thinking attitude to meet the needs of
    the changing non-profit landscape.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written), strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and
    maintain positive working relationships. Awareness and sensitivity to diversity as it relates to all aspects of the
    agency’s operations are expected of the incumbent.
  • Belief in and commitment to the vision and mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, with ability to utilize Microsoft Software (365/Dynamics/Teams/Office/EXCEL) and programs
    specific to role (e.g. WordPress, SimplyK, CANVA, Canada Helps).
  • Recent Vulnerable Sector Police Check and access to a reliable insured vehicle.

Estimated Start Date: Week of May 30th, 2022 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
Salary: $38,025 annually
Working Hours and Conditions: 37.5 hour work week. 9-month contract position. Occasional evenings and weekends
may be required. Hybrid work environment (office and remote).
